Utilising in-house hazard and risk modelling capabilities and with support from numerical hazard  modelling company, Kinetic Analysis Corporation, CaribRM builds bespoke catastrophe risk models on a client-specific basis. Models  enable quantification of catastrophe risk through provision of scenario-based probable maximum loss (PML) estimates and full loss  exceedance curve outputs. Models are designed to fully utilise available and newly collected data and provide meaningful uncertainty  estimates. Our catastrophe risk models are able to replicate losses for individual or multiple risk locations anywhere in the Caribbean  Basin.  CaribRM’s risk assessment team also provides rapid and independent assessments of catastrophe events from both a hazard and loss perspective, and also offers independent advice on the science of natural hazards, including hurricane tracking and impact forecasting. We distribute a quarterly bulletin describing natural hazards events across the broader Caribbean Basin as well as individual post-event bulletins. Client-focussed real-time updates are also provided via secure client login to our servers. CaribRM also provides advisory services to users of third-  party catastrophe models, helping to unravel the inner  workings of the ‘black-box’ solutions provided directly by  modelling companies or via brokers. Understanding the  input data and modelling process is vital in maximising the  benefits of outputs.  CaribRM’s risk surveying unit provides support to clients in  characterising and controlling their risks. We have survey  teams working out of both our Jamaica and Barbados  offices, covering the entire Caribbean Basin and specialising  in natural hazards risk. Surveyors have a detailed regional knowledge and strong  technical experience, particularly in the hotel sector.  CaribRM has built in-house data collection and management  systems to ensure quality control and client satisfaction.
