Updates on tropical cyclone activity are provided on a 6 hourly basis in conjunction with the official storm data releases from the National Hurricane Centre (http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/), which serves as the primary source of all data associated with this product. Tropical cyclone track data from the previous year, 2010, may be obtained from our archives. About The Regional Rainfall Monitor is another of our Google Earth web products. This  application provides daily updates on the amount of rainfall which accumulated  within the Caribbean Basin region. Each update reflects data on rainfall  accumulations from the previous day in accordance with figures derived from  the Tropical Rainfall Measuring Mission (http://trmm.gsfc.nasa.gov/), which is  the primary source of all data associated with this product. Future development  is in progress to increase the frequency of updates from a daily scale to a three-  hourly scale.   The Regional Rainfall Monitor is a free tool. Software Requirements: Microsoft Windows or Macintosh OS X 10.4 Compatible Browsers: Microsoft Windows (Google Chrome 1.0+, Internet Explorer 6.0+, Firefox 2.0+ and Flock 1.0+) Macintosh OS X 10.4 (Safari 3.1+ and Firefox 3.0+) Upon launching either of the above applications, you may be prompted to download and install a Google Earth Plug-in file. This prompt will occur only if you have not already installed the plug-in on a previous occasion or if your existing installation is outdated. This step is necessary in order to enable the standard functionality of the Google Earth desktop application within your browser.
